After he closed the music shop Ron kept in contact with Grimshaw and jointly developed the MS7 project. Photo taken 1985, Ron still owns the special with florentine cutaways triple humbuckers and complex switching. Ron with his MS7 modified by Grimshaw to his spec with De Armond pickups, pearl scratch plate, Grover tuners and Gibson vibrola. All this work was carried out by Grimshaw with the intention of marketing it as a Ron Barrett model. But Grimshaws failing health stopped the project.
